Lorenzo Truant graduated with a degree in architecture from the University of Venice with a thesis about airport issues. After his degree and Master in Product Design, he attended the research centre of a well-known Italian brand of furniture and lighting. He joined a valuable lighting company and worked as the art director for more than 10 years.

Currently, he is coordinating and supporting artists and architects who represent some national Pavilions of the Biennale di Venezia at Giardini and Arsenale.

He designs lights which explore all kinds of LED and OLED technology bearing in mind the manufacturing as well as the symbolic aspects. Recently he has received the Good Design Award at the Chicago Athenaeum for two lighting appliances and the Good Design Award in Tokyo. He has additionally won the Red Dot Award.
